ID@Xbox, Microsoft’s initiative for bringing high-quality indie titles to the Xbox One, was announced at Gamescom in August of this year. Along with that announcement came the appointment of Chris Charla, the head of Xbox Live Arcade, as the head of the new indie developer program.
In a recent interview with the Official Xbox Magazine, Charla showed his excitement for seeing the innovation that will come from the program. He noted that the program would likely produce “things that we can’t conceive of right now.” Continuing, Charla cited several components of the Xbox One, such as the high fidelity Kinect 2.0 and the new rumble triggers, which were basically designed to take advantage of new innovations, as areas in which indie developers would make waves.
