A few weeks back Team 17 announced Worms Revolution, an all new Worms game set to be released on XBLA sometime during the third quarter of this year. Fans of the franchise immediately began to wiggle with joy upon hearing news of the game being built from the ground up on a completely new engine. Today, we’re able to deliver the first concrete details on that engine. In a nutshell, Revolution‘s environment’s will be rendered in 3D, with the game outwardly looking like a classic 2D Worms game, with much better graphics. Team 17 has promised that deformation and destruction of the game’s environments will be on par with the franchise’s classic side-scrolling entries. Team 17 has also revealed that Revolution‘s environments will have four central themes; sewers, gardens, farms, and a beach known as “Rock Pool”. You can check out concept art of each setting by following the link below. Don’t even try to claim you’re not already thinking about blowing these places to bits.

Believe it or not my favorite part about video games isn’t the games themselves but the way they bring people together. Arguably no show demonstrates this bond better than PAX. Thousands of likeminded individuals flooded Boston this past Easter weekend. It didn’t matter where you worked or what you did or what you had to do when you hit the ground again on Monday; for one glorious weekend everyone was an equal: a gamer. It didn’t matter if your weapon was a die, a mouse, a controller or one’s own body. Everyone at this show had a passion for games.
A few of us from XBLA Fans made the trip and had the honor of mingling and checking out some of the upcoming XBLA titles for 2012 and beyond. We were able to hear developers in their element talking to fans about their projects. It was an amazing experience. Our own Andrew Crews has already elaborated on this issue, but in the end you remember the little things. That being said, there were some amazing games. Check out our full breakdown below!
Ready for a glimpse at some retro insanity? Get ready, because a dozen new screenshots for Retro City Rampage dropped on Twitter late last week.
Developed by VBlank Entertainment, Retro City Rampage is a love-letter to 8-bit gaming, right down to the simplified graphics. It has a few things in common with the original Grand Theft Auto titles, including a top-down perspective and an open world for the player to explore, terrorize and complete missions in. Retro City Rampage will also pay homage to such classic as Super Mario Bros., Mega Man and The Legend of Zelda.
Retro City Rampage is scheduled to hit XLBA and other online marketplaces next month. Read More

Trials HD community member “FatShady” shared the many details behind a collection of Easter Eggs hidden in the title as part of a complex riddle left behind by developer RedLynx’ Creative Director, Antti Ilvessuo. By properly identifying and dissecting each and every puzzle piece, it was said that both a question and an answer could be ascertained. Both were revealed today in the video above featuring none other than FatShady, bringing several years of intense searching and debating by the game’s community to a head. The final revelation may not be in line with what gamers were hoping for, but the video’s still worth watching for anyone who has spent time trying to unlock the game’s mysteries these past years.
Antti Ilvessuo had this to say about the riddle’s origins and players’ undaunted pursuit of the truth of it all: “You could say I created the riddle,” said Ilvessuo, “but what I really did was set the rules out. The game was played by the players, the riddle was discovered by them. I just started it. That was one [sic] really the key here.”
Were you stuck at home this while your gamer friends partied at PAX this weekend? Well dry those eyes, for Gamespot have compiled a neat video showcasing five of …
