The Walt Disney Company has acquired media corporation UTV along with its subsidiary, game publisher UTV Ignition Entertainment Ltd, according to a Eurogamer report of a story that originated from BBC News. UTV is an India-based firm that specializes in film, television, animation and gaming. Disney’s cost for acquiring a controlling interest has not been made public as of this time. India’s cabinet just last month approved the entertainment conglomerate’s bid to pick up shares of UTV that it was not already in possession of.

In part motivated by the game’s big budget and subsequently disappointing sales figures, developer Remedy Entertainment decided to trim back the development scale some for the series’ next release by making it an XBLA exclusive. A designer’s resume, exposed earlier today via Twitter, has made public the fact that developer Harmonix is working on a previously unannounced title. The game is referred to in the LinkedIn resume of one Brian Chan simply as “unannounced title,” but Chan did reveal the platforms it is coming to: XBLA, PSN and, rather peculiarly, Facebook.

Back in 2006, The Behemoth’s wildly popular XBLA game Castle Crashers was neither celebrated nor an Xbox 360 game; it was the rough and bumpy shell of itself seen in the footage above. The guys behind what was then a GameCube game weren’t satisfied with it, and so they went “back to the drawing board.”
Digital Reality has released five new screenshots of its XBLA, PSN and PC top-down racer, Bang Bang Racing. The game features nine tracks and twenty cars in four classes: racing muscle cars, stock car series, world endurance championship and formula one open wheels cars.
