A designer’s resume, exposed earlier today via Twitter, has made public the fact that developer Harmonix is working on a previously unannounced title. The game is referred to in the LinkedIn resume of one Brian Chan simply as “unannounced title,” but Chan did reveal the platforms it is coming to: XBLA, PSN and, rather peculiarly, Facebook.

In a response to the listing issued to Shack News, the Rock Band creators confirmed that a new project is in fact underway. “As we’ve stated before, our studio is growing and hard at work on a variety of titles,” said Harmonix’s John Drake, Director of Communications & Brand Management. “In a storied Harmonix tradition, our designers start working on those games before they’re publicly announced. We’re excited to confirm more information soon, probably via a LinkedIn update or something – we haven’t decided.”

Seemingly unfazed by the incident, the Boston-based studio took the chance to make a nice little jab at this particular leak and the myriad others that have resulted in games being announced ahead of schedule. While no concrete details were mentioned, XBLAFans is with ShackNews in assuming that it is another rhythm game of some sort.

After severing ties from parent company Viacom last year, Harmonix shareholders were awarded $383 million by a court from the media juggernaut. Co-founders and studio heads Alex Rigopulos and Eran Egozy are a part of the shareholder group, and it stands to reason that some of that money will be funneled back into development of future games such as the one that was prematurely announced today.
