Ubisoft has announced the formerly PlayStation Vita-exclusive Assassin’s Creed Liberation is making its way to the Xbox 360, receiving the HD treatment in the process. Liberation showcases the series’ first playable female protagonist, Aveline de Grandpré, who plies her trade in New Orleans on the cusp of the American Revolution. In addition to the trademark battery of weapons and utensils at her disposal, Aveline makes use of varied wardrobes allowing her to penetrate the upper echelons of society dressed as a high-class lady and the heart of the people disguised as a slave.

Assasin’s Creed Liberation HD reportedly features several improvements over the existing version of the title. Touting graphical upgrades on par with current consoles, Ubisoft has also advertised gameplay refinements, re-mastered sound, additional sound effects, new bonus missions and at least one alligator. While there’s no official release date for the digital offering, you can get sense of what’s in store through the trailer below.
