Microsoft is starting to push family gaming on the Xbox 360 this holiday season. Starting in November, the Xbox Live Gold Family plan will be available for $99. The plan offers four one-year individual Xbox Live Gold memberships, which is half the price of normal one-year subscriptions.

The Family Center, a new addition to the Family Pack, features a single, easy-to-use destination on the Dashboard for managing family and account settings, along with the ability for the primary user to purchase and distribute Microsoft Points to other members and view activity reports on Xbox.com. Family Programming allows even further monitoring and family protection with the option to remove all mature games, movies and content from the dashboard based on ESRB and Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) ratings. This feature is also password protected and easy to turn on or off for individual members.
