Xbox One getting Games with Gold
Some big changes are coming to Xbox Live on Xbox One, with both paid and free subscribers getting new perks. Announced on Xbox Wire, the long-awaited Games with Gold service is finally coming to Xbox One. Starting in June subscribers will get two free games a month, just like its Xbox 360 counterpart. The program’s first offerings will be Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Halo: Spartan Assault. It’s important to note you’ll only be able to play these games with an active Gold subscription. If you don’t like the current free games you can also check out Deals with Gold, which will offer 50-75% off select titles every month.
Don’t have a Gold subscription? Also coming in June, entertainment apps will be available to all Live subscribers. Netflix, HBO Go, Skype, and Internet Explorer (to name a few) will be available to everyone with a Live account. These changes will happen on Xbox 360 as well as Xbox One, so you can get the entertainment you want on the console of your choice.
June is definitely shaping up to be a huge month for Xbox. These announcements were made alongside the reveal of the Kinect-less Xbox One, which also launches next month. With all these new things coming down the line, which are you looking forward to most?
