Xbox One could still include a packaged headset
The next possible milestone in the ongoing saga of Microsoft’s ship-righting efforts could be as simple as including a headset with the packaged console. Microsoft’s decision to omit the headset from the launch bundle in favor of the microphone-integrated Kinect, hasn’t been well received by the vocal majority. Fortunately, that decision is under revision, as first spotted by GamesRadar.
Speaking on Twitter, Microsoft’s Sr. Director of Product Management and Planning, Albert Penello, indicated that the company is aware of the concerns and investigating what can be done. That’s literally it, and while it’s far from official, Microsoft’s current trend of reviewing initial decisions based on consumer feedback lends at least a little credence to the statement.
@bad_ass_females We’ve heard the feedback. Looking into it.

If true, the news would be welcome considering Microsoft’s recently priced the Xbox One Chat Headset at $24.99. While it won’t break the bank, an extra twenty-five bucks toward the hardware experience consumers have become accustomed to over the last generation could be that last little gust for those on the fence.
