Worms creator Andy Davidson has returned to Team17 following 14 years away from the company. The news follows the announcement that Team17 are working on Worms Revolution. Since Davidson’s departure, the British developer has released more than 12 core Worms games and a further four spin-offs including Worms Pinball and Worms Golf. Davidson is to offer his support to the team currently developing Revolution.

Said the returning developer,

“I left Team17 feeling I hadn’t finished what I wanted to achieve, but for professional reasons I knew I had to walk away. I’ve returned to scratch the creative itch that’s been bothering me for the last fourteen years. It’s nice to be back at Team17, it’s as though there’s been a revolution in the studio itself – there’s a real creative buzz about the place.”

The revolutions don’t stop there either; the press release claims Davidson is looking to bring some new ideas to the table. Ten queen pounds says one of them is Worms Volleyball.
