What’s old is new again in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD
Gamers who appreciate a good skating game have already gotten a peek at some Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD screenshots. However it can sometimes be hard to properly assess the visual upgrade of a remake without being given a direct comparison. Activision and developer Robomodo have given gamers just that with the above look at a PlayStation One shot conveniently slid in underneath an image of the XBLA/PSN version.
It’s almost as if these are two completely different games, which makes sense, since they pretty much are. Robomodo’s summer 2012 arcade game is not actually a straight remake. Rather, it will arrive as a group of select maps from the first two titles in the series running on an entirely new engine. The most obvious difference is the absence of blurriness in the new screenshot, major texture, environmental and character detail and lighting/shadow upgrades are also immediately apparent.
