IGN reported today that Telltale Games’ upcoming The Walking Dead game will be out in April and confirmed what platforms it will release on – Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Mac and iOS. The site also released a teaser trailer for the game, which can be viewed above.

The game is to be an episodic point-and-click adventure in the same vein as the Monkey Island or Sam & Max series. The game occupies the same world as the Image comic series  – a world overrun by zombies and the people left trying to carve out a life after the apocalypse. The game is set in the same universe as the comic, but will feature new characters instead of focusing on the cast of the characters from the popular series.
