The Walking Dead coming to XBLA in Australia with MA15+ rating

With its strict rating laws preventing the sale of violent games in the past, Telltale Games was originally hesitant to release The Walking Dead in Australia. However, with this year’s new legislation allowing games to be sold on consoles with an R18+ rating, the game was sent for classification. Ironically, it seems the worry was for naught as GameSpot reports that The Walking Dead has been rated MA15+ with the descriptors “strong themes and horror violence.”

The Walking Dead was our 2012 Game of the Year, so if you Aussie readers haven’t already picked it up on a different platform, you’ll want to pick this up.
