We reported earlier that Dreamcast darlings Space Channel 5: Part 2 and Sega Bass Fishing were slated to come to XBLA, but no release date had been given up til now. Today we received news that the two games will be hitting next gen consoles on October 5. If you’ve never heard of these games, Sega Bass Fishing more or less describes itself, but only the official description does Space Channel 5 any justice:

Hey there, SpaceCats – meet Ulala, the grooviest reporter in the galaxy! She’s got attitude, and she’s got moves.

Help her get the scoop on an unidentified Dance Troupe that has captured thousands of people and is forcing them to dance! Will you be able to free the hostages, and uncover who’s behind the kidnappings all while bustin’ some groovy moves to sweet beats?

Sega has been known to revive Dreamcast games on current hardware in the past, such as Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure. Given the quality but small audience many Dreamcast games saw during their original release, we can only hope that this trend continues. No price has been announced, but Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure both released at 800 MSP.
