Sega teases Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia for XBLA
It didn’t take too long for Sega to talk about the next Dreamcast titles coming to XBLA after Jet Set Radio‘s release. In an interview on Gamereactor UK at GDC 2012 discussing the upcoming HD port, Associate Brand Manager Ben Harborne of Sega hinted at what might come next. He did upright say Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia but didn’t confirm the release or development, setting up a tease for fans.
Shenmue is the open-world action game made by Virtua Fighter creator Yu Suzuki and was the most expensive game ever made on the Dreamcast. Skies of Arcadia is an RPG that fans have been begging for a sequel for quite some time now, but an HD remake is always nice too. No word yet if the Xbox version of Shenmue 2 will come after or if Skies of Arcadia will have some of the features from the GameCube remake, Skies of Arcadia Legends, but we’ll keep you up to date on whatever Sega’s Dreamcast ports are thinking.
