Xbox One

As  the release of Xbox One closes in, little bits of news trickles in about the system itself almost everyday. Now we get another drip with confirmation that development partners have final studio development kits (SDKs) in their hands. SDKs are the tools used to create software for the system, which means developers now how have everything they need to make games for the Xbox One.

Xbox Corporate VP Marc Whitten confirmed that developers had taken delivery of the SDKs on Major Nelson’s podcast, which also included some tidbits about what’s under the hood of the Xbox One. As was previously reported by XBLAFans, he final dev kits show an increase in console GPU clock speed. It now runs at 853 MHz, which is a six percent bump in power.
