Microsoft’s Xbox SmartGlass app was released on the iTunes App Store earlier this week. The free SmartGlass app now allows iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch device owners to control their Xbox 360 dashboard and certain games, such as Homerun Stars, from their touchscreen device. Users can also edit their Xbox Live avatars through the app and use their phone’s keyboard to enter text. The iOS version of Xbox SmartGlass requires iOS 5.0 or later. Xbox SmartGlass was first released for Windows-based devices, as well as a version of SmartGlass for Android smartphones, back in October coinciding with the release of Windows 8 and Microsoft Surface.
