Hot on the heels of its official announcement, Pacific Rim The Video Game has been issued a brief teaser trailer showcasing a few of the jumbo-sized juggernauts you can expect to climb inside later this week. While the plot revolves around mammoth robots battling monsters equal in magnitude, this teaser neglects the latter to provide ample screen time for said robots to flex, strut, and generally fall backwards into a variety of objects.

Pacific Rim The Video Game is coming to Xbox Live Arcade for 800 MSP on July 12, to coincide with the release of the film. It features two factions of fighters, Jaeger (robots) and Kaiju (monsters), battling in one-versus-one bouts throughout various destructible environments. Players will be able to unlock parts to customize their robots using experience earned for surviving the time-honored tradition of giant-monster fisticuffs.
