Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon racks up half a million sales
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Ubisoft’s blissful union of ’80s sci-fi action and a Lite-Brite, has cleared 500,000 combined platform sales, reports Joystiq. Speaking to GamesIndustry International, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stated he was “very happy” with Blood Dragon‘s performance. The game’s success, along with their other downloadable darling, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, has afforded Ubisoft the opportunity to continue looking into extending their brands in the downloadable space.
Though we found minor drawbacks during our review, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Its self-aware humor and over-the-top twist on the established gameplay is enough to warrant a purchase. You can catch our full impressions in the official review.
