As previously mentioned in our 25 biggest Xbox games of 2016 feature, Green Lava Studios, the team behind the game formerly known as Fenix Rage, announced in November that it was having trouble listing its game on Xbox One due to a trademark issue. Green Lava received a cease and desist order from a “huge game company” that had previously trademarked “RAGE” in the developer’s home country of Costa Rica.

Well, after a couple of months of debating all the different ways you can say “Rage” — and presumably conducting numerous trademark checks to make sure this doesn’t happen again — it appears Green Lava has landed on Fenix Furia as the new title they’ll use on Xbox One. Released alongside the new name was a new game trailer and a few new features.

Possibly one of the biggest gifts to players is the addition of an easy mode. One thing that everyone always agrees on after playing Fenix Furia (it is going to take a while to get used to writing it that way) is that it is very challenging, and that death is abundant. In the original version, one hit will kill you; in the new easy mode you can get hit once without dying.

For those of you who like to play alongside a friend, Green Lava also announced the addition of split-screen multiplayer. In this new two-player mode you will be able to play as either Fenix or new character Undead Fenix and battle each other to see who can be the fastest in the world. Details are slim right now on Undead Fenix, but the studio did say “he is the pure rage of Fenix.” Not sure what that means, but considering how hard the original Fenix is, it can’t be good.
