A while back we announced that new dance game, Boom Boom Dance would be the latest Kinect enabled game from from the makers of Dance Evolution/Dance Masters to hit XBLA. However it seems that the game will arrive at western shores under a new guise: Rhythm Party. Producer Naoki Maeda tweeted:

“Boom Boom Dance is Japanese title”…”The title for overseas is Ryhthm Party!”

The gameplay is reminiscent of Elite Beat Agents where players dance freely with no choreography to learn, hitting the “ripples” in time with the music. It’s expected to release on XBLA early 2012. Many thanks to @lifelower for the tip and translation.
