Xbox have released details on how you can play your favorite Xbox 360 games and raise money for your local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Their Gaming and Giving for Good Charity Event, or G3 for short, will take place on the weekend of October 1 and in support of this great cause Xbox LIVE is offering a Free Gold Weekend to everyone who participates. Gamestop will also be running some in-store events with celebrities to promote the event.

If you would like to take part then register your fundraising page at Extra-Life then raise money by asking your friends and family to donate money for each hour you plan on playing Xbox 360 games on October 1. G3 begins at exactly 8 a.m. in your local time zone on Saturday, Oct. 1, and ends at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds for more than 170 children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada. When a donation is given it stays in the community, helping local kids.
