Newsbits: figurines, apps, and title updates
- Figurines from Double Fine’s The Cave are available for collectors. All seven characters can be picked up for $35, and fans can also purchase T-shirts and more can be picked up at the Double Fine Action Shop.
- NHL GameCenter is now available via the apps marketplace. It features news and has an available subscription service to stream every NHL game in a given season.
- Andrew Kim has been hired by the Xbox team as a designer, reports Kotaku. Expect a lot of white backgrounds with plain text, which is apparently what qualifies for “design” these days.
- PlayXBLA notes that several new updates are on the table for Happy Wars, which seems to be doing quite well as the first real free-to-play game on Xbox LIVE Arcade.
- Signal Studios’ Lead Designer answered fan questions about Ascend: New Gods on Signal’s YouTube channel.
- Minecraft junkies will be happy to know that the Ender Dragon will have sound when The End is released in a future title update. That’s cool, right?
