Warlords returns this summer on XBLA
Atari has teamed up with Griptonite Games to resurrect one of its 2600 title, Warlords, for Xbox Live Arcade. At its heart the game is a sort of tower defense meets Breakout, another classic Atari title. It features multiplayer for up to four players, both online and off. Editorial: Freakin’ out over day one DLC
It’s all too common of a complaint. A game is released and the same day downloadable content is released alongside it. People think they’re being cheated; they think it’s some conspiracy that developers and publishers have to get some easy extra cash. Well, I’m tired of hearing about it, because if folks understood the process they’d cut developers and publishers some slack. I’m here to set the record straight.
The first thing to get out of the way is whether it’s actual DLC or “unlock” DLC. Unlock DLC is always less than one megabyte and simply enables something already existing in the game. Those are more than fair to be upset about for the most part, but what follows can occasionally apply to unlock DLC as well as actual DLC.

XBLA’s Most Wanted: Red Faction
10 years ago in 2001 Volition released a revolutionary game; one with real-time destructible environments. It was something that had never before been seen, let alone running on a console. Sure, a PC version was also released, but this was a game that showcased what the PlayStation 2 could really do. Red Faction is set on Mars and follows the story of a lowly miner known as Parker as he becomes part of the Red Faction, an organization set to overthrow the corrupt Ultor Corporation and their slave-like treatment of their miners.
