This weeks content update is about as small as an update can get. Both the Battle Royale and Save the World have only received content additions, no bug fixes or changes to content have been applied. This week sees the release of a new type of grenade, as well as two new game modes to make you feel like the golden child. Here are your highlights for the content update for version 5.30.

Shockwave Grenade

The shockwave Grenade is essentially an impulse grenade with the added effects of hop rocks or a bounce pad. You can use it on yourself, teammate and enemies to send them flying. The difference here is that whomever the grenade is used on, the victim will not suffer fall damage if they fall from a high height. The item drops in a stack of two, but a total of six can be stacked in one slot. The item is of purple (Epic) rarity and can be found in Supply drops, llamas and chests. They can also be purchased from vending machines. The blast of a shockwave grenade is so powerful, its enough to knock someone through a structure. Shocking, isn’t it? At this point, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the impulse grenade get vaulted in the coming weeks. We’ll just have to wait and see.

50v50 Solid Gold LTM

Through its lifespan, 50v50 has seen three incarnations, and now we see a fourth. 50v50 solid gold is your essential 50 players attacking 50 other players, with the twist that all weaponry in the match is gold (Legendary). This means that many weapons such as the Revolver, Pump Shotgun, and silenced SMG that does not have a gold variant will not be present in this game mode. Anything that does can be found as floor loot, and even inside of chests and supply drops. All that’s missing is a skin of Gold Member from Austin Powers. Groovy!

There are also some additions to the Save the World mode. The entire patch notes for the content update can be found here.
